Camp de Mar, a small town with history
Camp de Mar is located in the southwest area of Majorca, in the municipality of Andratx. This small urban area started developing in the 80s, very close to one of the area’s most important fincas, Biniorella.
Despite being a small town, it has quite some history. Its Torre des cap Andritxol is an example of an ancient fortress built to protect the island from pirates and other attacks.
But what is really worth a visit is its beach, one of the most beautiful ones on the island. It is very easy to access and it has all kinds of restaurants, bars, and shops right nearby, only a few minutes away by taxi.

What to visit in Camp de Mar
One of the top activities on your next visit to this area of Majorca is, of course, its beach. But there are other activities in the area that are well worth spending some time on, especially if you are looking for something other than just sun and beach.
If you are up for a hike, Camp de Mar is very close to the famous Serra de Tramuntana, the island’s most important mountain range. There are countless plans for hikers and there are many starting areas easily accessible by taxi.
You can also visit the neighbouring island of Sa Dragonera, a protected natural park where you can spend the day admiring its nature and the ocean views. A transfer boat leaves from the town of Sant Elm, a few minutes drive by taxi from Camp de Mar.
Where to eat in Camp de Mar
No vacation is complete without a proper place to eat, right? Well, here are some of our recommendations for your next visit to this side of the island:
Fine Italian cuisine mixed with beautiful views in this restaurant located in the Golf of Andratx course. Enjoy a Mediterranean experience on this restaurant’s terrace.
This restaurant inspired by the Canary Islands offers spectacular views of the sea and the pine-covered mountains. Its cuisine is mainly organic and locally sourced and they specialize in tapas, small servings designed to share. A true Spanish experience.
This is definitely one of Camp de Mar’s trademarks: its little restaurant on a small island right in front of the beach. Enjoy a delicious paella, the restaurant’s speciality, with the sound of the water around you. You will be in for an unforgettable experience!
